How the Drugs work
In non-technical language, the drugs are designed to
mimic dopamine that the body would produce in someone who does not have
Parkinson’s Disease. Yes, they do achieve that result, but can also produce
unwanted side affects. The brain is a very sensitive organ, and when you
chemically substitute something into the body and it is not in the same
quantities or doses that the body would normally produce; side effects
can result. For more

Current Approach
No treatment has been proven to arrest or slow neurodegeneration
in Parkinson's disease. The aim is to relieve symptoms and avoid the
complications of therapy.
